BEST PRACTICES
Part of the onjective of the Caribbean Marine Association is to share resources and best practices. As we continue to develop we will add information that becomes available from member countries and third party bodies.
A report that has been incredibly useful since it was completed in 2004 was the The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to assist in the development of a Regional Marine Based Stratetey.
It is clear that although ever island has a part of its economy dependent upon the yachting sector, until a regional policy is formed, the entire region will not optimise the opportunities of developing the sector.
Although produced in 2004, the study completed still holds true in many cases today.
